Do you play? Could record the actual song?
I do play a bit of the piano and drums, but nothing too impressive. However, with music programs these days you can put together something almost adequate. Perhaps I’d post something if I can ever learn to sing properly. Or maybe I’ll post it even if I can’t.

Yeah, I added it later. No, it’s not duet. I just recorded my vocals overlapped twice. It could be a duet, though. Sure the beat is pretty good. Though I think I went a bit overboard on it, because I was having a bit too much fun and added like four different kind of drums. I think anyone could start making songs like this. You should try if you ever wanted to. Just use a music program. But thanks again for all your inspiring words!
Well, I was and am in total awe… it completely inspired me, since I’d been writing a song for my mom and was wanting to record it somehow… and I did try. Failed terribly… on Garageband. But one does tend to fail at first. :)) You are very talented. And those you share it with (us readers) learn from that; it’s awesome. So thanks. :))
Sure. I used Garageband. And you must keep trying; I’m sure it’s better than you think. There are some tricks that can help, or perhaps try a video on Youtube to help learn the basics. But yes true takes practice. I hope you’ll keep working with it if you’re enjoying the process.

Hey Ben, I have a question about your songs, if you feel comfortable sharing your creative process. When you write them do you already have the melody in your mind or do the lyrics come first? I enjoyed this delightful treasure-trove of adoration. It lifts the heart. Well done as always.
Sometimes I have a melody, but almost never works that way for me, perhaps because I’m not that great of a musician. Usually I just put down some very simple chords. And then write lyrics and/or melody after that. Most of the time I don’t even go past a very simple demo, though. I’ve only finished a few songs completely. Creating the songs are just very fun. Sometimes you turn out very interesting lyrics that you wouldn’t expect. It’s like free-flowing poetry creation. Thanks. Have a great day!
