Empty Throne (Song Lyrics)

[Verse 1]
I was torn in two
When you left that day
Was I forcing you
To always stay?

I had no clue
You would run away
Is there another one
Or another day?

[Chorus]
Your throne is empty
But I still got your crown
Your throne is empty
But I’m waiting around

Your throne is empty
But I’m staying in town
Just in case
You come back around

[Verse 2]
We were split in two
When you left that day
Were you thinking you
Always had to stay?

You must’ve had a clue
You could walk away
You didn’t have to
Run away

[Chorus]
Your throne is empty
But I still got your crown
Your throne is empty
But I’m waiting around

Your throne is empty
But I’m staying in town
Just in case
You come back around

Just in case
You come back around (4x)

[Ad lib]
Yeah, yeah, yeah!
Oh, oh, oh!

[Instrumental Outro]

Woah I’d like to hear the tune and rhythm

  2. Maybe you could record it one day and post👍🏻

I’d be jammin’ to this one for sure!! Love the ending, gives that vibe!!

    • bejamin4 says:

Well, yeah: “be jammin’” (it is kinda almost my name, haha). Thanks for commenting. Glad you felt some of the vibes 🙂

It was a surprise to read so soon after the Altar poem but a great song, hope all is well. I did wonder if your username was made that way on purpose haha. 😊🎶

      • bejamin4 says:

All is fine. Thanks for the concern, though. Very sweet of you! They are unrelated posts, however. But you bring up an interesting point on posts and writing, and how much is connected to our hearts and how much is fictional. It’s something that has concerned many a scholar.

      • Lia says:

Yay, glad to hear it. :)) Oh okay. Yes maybe it doesn’t make sense to assume a thread or storyline where perhaps there is none. I agree about what you say re: heart-writing vs fictional; well, I have never understood the divide, I suppose to my detriment haha. :)) Anyway, your songs are wonderful, I really mean that… you have truly engaging talent, I hope we get to hear them one day; and when we hear them on Alexa or Spotify or wherever else, along we can strum and play. ;))

      • bejamin4 says:

Sure. I see exactly what you mean. Maybe it’s always heart-writing with fiction overlapping it. Thanks again. I wish to be as confident in myself as you are in me 🙂

      • Lia says:

🙂 I wish that for you (and for the world that would benefit) too. 🙏✨

I liked the message, you could walk away. Seems like a communication gap. Its well written man, try to record for sure. Put on YT maybe.

    • bejamin4 says:

Yeah, thanks. Agreed: there is a point where you should walk away, especially if the communication isn’t working. But I think somethings you should never walk away from something no matter what, if it truly means that much to you and it’s what you really want and need. But sometimes it’s hard to know which is which, and maybe I’m just overly romantic in my thinking at times. And, you know what, I did try youtube actually but it won’t ever load in full for me. So maybe one day if it ever uploads, haha.

      • uzzawal1911 says:

Yeah, it can get complicated at times. We never know I guess, we should just go with the gut feeling imo.
Haha, cool let us know if it does. All the best 🙌

      • bejamin4 says:

You’re right. You never know really until you know. But the gut feeling usually leads you to the right answer. Thanks again and stay safe! 🙂

Love the metaphor to the throne and crown. This is beautiful!
