i breathe it in
soul-heartedly rejoice
soak in its turbulent waves
thankful for every ache
what a remembrance!
to know that i’m here
that i am still of this Earth
i breathe it in
soul-heartedly rejoice
soak in its turbulent waves
thankful for every ache
what a remembrance!
to know that i’m here
that i am still of this Earth

π Thanks again, truly!!! π
There is this thought that does occur even amid our earthly troubles…very eloquently observed.
There is, I think. Thanks lots and lots and lots!
It’s a pleasure!
Profound and inspiring words Benjamin. Well done as always my friend.β€οΈ
True thanks, Grace! β€οΈ
Very welcome.π
Achingly alive!
Yes! I like your words!
Benjamin, this is such great wordcraft and delivers such a positive message. Thanks for sharing your talent! π
Thanks, Lisa. So nice to hear this π
Brilliantly written Ben. The depth here is hard to describe… one of my new favourites of yours.
Many thanks to you. These are exciting words to read from you. I shall hold onto them in troubling writing times. Stay awesome!
Blessings to you Ben for counting the blessings instead of troubles in trying times. May your health improved and your spirit be lifted. π
Thank you. I appreciate your friendship and kind words. Glad to know you. Have a wonderful week ahead! π
Take care Ben!
The world is neither a pain-free place nor an entirely miserable place. The ups and downs of life justify the vicissitudes of life and living as human beings in earthly existence. Nice poetic piece Benjamin.
You’re so right. There is a lot of good to take in with the bad but they work together to give us the full experience of life. Neither should be cherished more than the other. But are a gift from a higher place. Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts!
Itβs always my Pleasure, Benjamin. Keep on keeping on.
It does have that effect. Well expressed, Benjamin – a good thing to do with pain and an excellent reminder, too. πΊ
Thanks! May the sun shine on you today and everyday! π
Wow, cherishing pain, as a reminder of being alive. It’s like being in touch with your feelings, being human. Beautiful Benjamin. Take care!ππ
Thank you, Sirishty. I love how you stated this. Always appreciate your intellectuality! You take care as well!
It’s my pleasure.π
ah this is a beautiful piece and an awesome prespective as to how we feel pain!! (:
Thank you, Aarushi! Means a whole lot coming from someone as talented as you!
‘Soul-hearted…’ love it, and yes, we must count our blessings.
Thanks, Chris. I suddenly have a feeling though that I either took that from Lia the Poet or was inspired by her writing to use that phrasing. Hopefully she’ll let me know one day soon, and thanks to her inspiring. And you’re right we must be thankful for what we have in order to reach a contended state of mind. The days of our lives are precious! Thanks for reading and commenting!
Pain does makes us remember that we are alive and living on this planet. Wonderfully put.
THANK YOU!!!!
Welcome π
Lovely πππΉ
Thank you!!! π
Beautifully written! No matter what, it is such a blessing to still be alive, no matter what has transpired.
Yes, it is. Life is a blessing in so many ways! Thank you so much! Hope you have a stunning week!
You’re welcome! And you too!
π€π€π€
π Have a beautiful start to your week!
Thanks a lot ! Wishing you the sameβΊ

Like most of your posts; simplet yet wonderful! Being optimistic makes things less painful. Have a great day!
It does. If you can be optimistic life really starts feeling lighter, even if there are burdens. Thanks. You have a great rest of your day!
Agreed. You’re welcome and thank you as well!
Ahhh pain….you know I know Benjamin…and yet, I love how you used it you turned it into a marker, a positive to remind you…yes you are still here among the living.. Attitude is everything..and yet to be able to find the good message in a bout of pain, is not always that easy, but how beautifully you expressed, that for those moments..you were actually able to do just that. It does help to remember, that there is always reprieve, at least momentarily…but it takes a soul well experienced in it…to be able to do that. I admire that you could write this poem but also sorry that you had to.π€
Yes, I think we are kindred spirits on the pain front. But I wish you all the best in it and truly admire you and how you handle it!!! And I agree with all you say. There are so many times it is hard to positive, and you have to allow yourself to have sad moments. But then: we must find the sunshine again. Love your final words here. Thanks for being here and for being my friend!
and thank you for being my friend too Benjamin…Really..I feel we are kindred souls..bound by pain…how strange to say it..but that is the truth…not just pain of course..by poetry and sensitivity..but yes we share that dark companion too. I am very thankful to WordPress for meeting youπ€
You’re very welcome! Yes, you put it wonderfully. You never know how bonds will form but there are so many reasons out there: “poetry”, “sensitivity”, and “pain”. I think, it’s a little easier to deal with pain together rather than alone. Thanks for all your beautiful words. Keep creating and have a wonderful rest of your day and week! Talk soon! π
Such a profound and positive approach! The world is a strange place, it’s neither a smooth highway always nor a fully damaged road .. loved your positive outlook!
Much love β€οΈ
Oh, that’s a very cool way of putting things, Ahiri. Amazing to read your thoughts here. Thanks for commenting so much.
Lots of love back to you! Stay well! β€οΈ
And therein good poetry is born! Only an artist would put it like that. A very positive way to look at things, Ben π Hope you are feeling stronger with each nourishing breath πΈβοΈ
Thanks so much, Sunra!!! There is always a bright side to things even if we don’t fully know it or understand it at the time. I’m doing a little better. Thanks a lot for the support in everything! Hope you’re good as well!
So true. It’s weird maybe but I feel as though feeling pain is better than being numb. It’s better to feel the pain and be alive than to feel nothing at all and be lifeless. Beautiful poem β₯
Yes, I think you’re right, Sonali. Pain is a gift in some ways even though we don’t recognize it at the time. But if we were to feel nothing we would be missing out in many ways. Thanks so much!!! β₯
Exactly my point. You’re welcome! β₯β₯
Of course we are all earth babies thatβs why we call her mom earth .. so hey sibling
Ben , wassup π
True, true. We’re all related on some level, as well as everything else on the planet. π
Yup the same blood runs in all our veins.
Nice content..π
Many thanks!!!
I guess this is what some call “kindness.”
Yeah, maybe some kindness in pain. But many forms of pain should not be promoted or taken lightly and hopefully avoided. Thanks for reading!
I sure do agree with that. Thanks for following, liking; especially during a time of such extreme pain. In the end, was that healing…
You’re welcome. Always trying to heal. Certain times it takes longer than other times. Hope you have a great night!
Those comments I wrote to you (which seem to be quoted here)… I had no idea how to word them by the way. I spent ages trying to figure out what to say or how to say that I … [oh nevermind, too late… your comment has just appeared below, while I again hesitate… will you delete this one too?] meant well. And was sincere. And I was glad [for your existence!]…. but I didn’t do well. Sometimes no matter what we do, we can’t do right by a person. Another case of good intentions… and where they lead. If I caused you pain [how could any of us be sure? who was her?] I am so genuinely sorry. But I have my doubts that you’ll believe me. I don’t doubt you’ll write more poetry… or a novel though. Sincerely
No worries. You never caused me any pain. And I believe your sincerity. Thanks a lot. Always appreciate you taking the time to read, like, and comment on my work. Really always means a lot!
