What is love?
I venture for the search,
Hovering above the restrictions,
Masquerading feelings,
Packing the streets and theaters.
In the shadows of the city lights,
The subtle touch of elation,
Tempered by the night’s venom.
A parade of tamers lurking to fragment dreams,
To seek the hook for their puppet master.
There’s always a cage for joyous affairs,
Some subjugation of our bohemian nights.
But I still reach possessively for the moment, as the pendulum strikes.
Eternity vibrant in your eyes,
Unwavering in my faith that love is untamable.

Absolutely amazing… perfect… all the lines just right together… I think this is my favourite poem/collab of yours so far… and that is kind of major, since as you must know I’m a fan of your poetry! :)) All of it is great, but the last two stanzas are my favourite. And the image too, with its perfect now-moon… this whole piece rings all the technical bells for me!

Love the last stanza especially Benjamin, whichever of you wrote it, you captured my belief in love too…This poem moved through the lines, like the searchers in the night, hungry and surreal. I loved the title and how you both fleshed it out into such a weaving visual…In the end, taming is not part of loving:) Agreed!
