I don’t know the perfume of your skin
But I bet it’s some poetry
I don’t know the flavor of your lips
But I’m sure it’s sweet and savory
I don’t know the beauty of your walk
But I’m thinking rather divinely
I don’t know the shape of your love
But I’m guessing itβs extraordinary
I do know, however, the rarity of your face
And, my darling, it’s some kind of poetry
This is lovely Ben. The way you crafted this piece captures the attention of the reader from start to finish.
Thanks a lot!
The last line is heart touching. ππ
Thanks π
Welcome π
Beautifully written man, you are good at this! π
Some of your poems transports us into fantasy lands!
Thanks. So kind of you to say. Sounds like some poetry, in fact. We all need a good fantasy, I think.
You should write a poetry compilation book man. And have it in ebook format, I think that’s where the market is shifting (for now atleast). It may be a decent amount of work, but its worth it.
You’re right. Definitely where the market is for poetry. Thanks for the idea. Something I’ll definitely be thinking about and looking into. And as always appreciated the support!
I love your poetry , Benjamin.. I hope sheβs reading too ..π
Haha. Thanks.
Welcome ππΌ
Love the second line of each stanza. It’s a great pattern! And comparing beauty to poetry is beautiful itself. Unique, and stunning. Love it!
Thanks very much. Some people are poems; others are poetry.
I agree! You’re welcome π
How do you do this? Every. Dang. Time. Your poetry speaks to my heart in a way that makes me think Iβm dreaming sometimes. Itβs just so clever and beautifully constructed and gorgeous!!! Gives feelings that are sublime. Itβs like the buzz I used to love from wine. ;)) π₯ Thank you for sharing it with us!! There happened to be a soft landing nearby so I fell into a full swoon this time. π (but itβs true ππ€)
A very lovely comment. Thanks. I’m glad you found a soft landing spot π

Cool. I’m happy about that!
Okay, you write about love like you have a PhD in it, and that just makes me really happy. To know that this kind of love exists out there. Thank you, Benjamin. Beautiful writing
Thank you, really. I’m sure this will always be one of my favorite comments π
