So I have this issue and
there’s no exact medical term for it.

But when I look into your eyes
I’m transported to a place where
it always rains sunshine.

And maybe that doesn’t sound like an issue.

But when I really, really miss you
it feels like some incurable disease
akin to an elephant using my chest as a scale
or a vampire sucking my soul through a straw.

So yeah, I have this issue, I think
where I fall deeper in love
with you every nanosecond.

And maybe you have it, too?

Damn, deep stuff and it is actually not very unreal to have this issue. Well written πŸ™Œ

I like how you develop the poem. πŸ™‚
And “Rains sunshine” is excellent. πŸ˜€

  4. Rains sunshine in love…such a beautiful feeling πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡. πŸ’™πŸ’š

Beautiful sentiments, Benjamin. I love the β€œakin to an elephant using my chest as a scale…” It is all so heartfelt.

  7. Lia says:

The eyes as a place of raining sunshine… wow, such a beautiful image. The way that the very relatable feeling of intensely missing someone is so originally and poignantly described too. Then the last lines, with the deeper nanoseconds… well, swoon.

    Awesome write. Mesmerising eyes.

  9. Chuckled when imagining a vampire sucking a soul with a straw πŸ™‚

  10. Ohh I love when it rains sunshine, haha. Beautifully written, Benjamin. A love that grows every nanosecond, wow. This is a great issue to have. 🌹

It is great, yes; I cannot deny this. Better than great, to be honest. Hopefully everyone can find such a love. It makes the sun a little brighter, the grass a little greener, and the sugar a little sweeter. And most of all, it keeps the clouds away.

      • Okay, give me this “issue” pls. Can I subscribe to it somewhere? Haha.

At the right time I think it’ll flow toward you whether you want it to or not. But perhaps that would be a nice easy button to subscribe to, if such a thing were possible. Sounds like another poem, too.
