Three Things About Me

I was born on Saint Patrick’s Day.

I dislike driving

I love eating soggy cereal.

My Answers To Ace’s Questions

  1. What does freedom mean to you? Everything good. But, at same time, there can be a danger in having too much freedom. Freedom allows for choice, however. And life is about choices. You always have to make a choice. Even not choosing is a choice.
  2. What’s one thing you do without thinking? Sing.
  3. Favorite childhood memory? Going to Disney World.
  4. If the whole world could hear you for three words, what would you say? We a family.
  5. Do you think perception or belief comes first? Both. I think it changes from situation to situation and person to person. And I think this David Bowie lyric sums it up (“Word On Wing”): “Just because I believe, don’t mean I don’t think as well”.

Grateful for you, dear friend!!! Much love 🖤🖤🤗

    • It seems hard to find people who like soggy cereal, but there must be a small percentage out there. And for those who like soggy cereal it’s okay, because I like it too. Thanks a lot for nominating me. It was fun participating. Thanks, too, for always spreading love and positivity and appreciation. Have a fantastic rest of your day! 🙂

      • Ace says:

Ah hahaha, you’re so funny! 😂 Some soggy cereal fan will find great joy in knowing you 😂! And of course, you absolutely deserve it! Aww you’re so kind, I appreciate you!!!! Keep inspiring 🤍

      • Haha. This is funny: “Some soggy cereal fan will find great joy in knowing you!” I hope to meet a few more soggy cereal fans out there. I know they must be hiding somewhere. Thanks again! 🤍🤍🤍

  3. yassy says:

    Big congrats, Ben.

  4. Hasan Adan says:

Great post and a well deserved award. The questions were great and the answer was equally just as great especially the last one about perception and belief because as you said it depends on the person and the situation and it’s hard to give a definite answer when the only thing that’s constant in this world is change and that’s a process we all undergo everyday.

    • Cool. Thanks for reading. You’re right in that it seems a bit of the chicken or egg: which came first? I like what you said, because it might be a universal truth: the only real “constant in this world is change”. And yes, everyday things are changing and evolving even if we can notice. And again agree with you in that the person and situation matters as well. Thanks as always for leaving your deep thoughts!

  5. You’re an Irish poet! You’re in with a good crowd. 🙂 Congratulations!

  9. Hiya Ben! Congratulations on the award! And OMG I thought I was the only one who liked soggy cereal.

    • Hey, thanks! I’m glad to hear you like soggy cereal. I feel we’re starting to build a soggy-cereal team. We’re at like 3 or 4 people. Sure there are many, many more.

  10. Soggy cereal is the bomb. Or for me, I like it when it’s half soggy and crispy. Maybe I’m weird, but it’s great to know that there are others like this too. Thanks for this post!

    • Half soggy and crispy is good also. No, it’s good to know others are of a like mind. I feel soggy-cereal eaters get put down a bit sometimes. Most perhaps good the other way. But now I’m seeing some like it. So that’s cool. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  11. Oh wow! First of all Congratulations!

So many fun and lovely things here. Love it all. Have to admit I’m not on the soggy-cereal fan team though! 😅 Though I’m quite sure I *am* on the soggy-cereal-lovers fan team. ;)) :)) Congrats on the award, and lovely post, beautifully done. 🙏🌤💗 xoxoxo

    • Haha. Soggy-cereal seems to be a thumbs-down for most people. But that’s cool you’re still willing to cheer it on. “Unity in diversity!” Thanks so much for taking the time to read and commenting! Your support has been a blessing this last year!

      • Lia says:

I could answer some of them interesting questions tho,
    1. Probably anywhere by the sea, maybe Bora Bora.
    2. Lasagna
    5. Three plus one in progress.
Wonderful job again. A four leaf clover to you!

    • Thanks so much, Shanyu! Glad to see another fellow soggy-cereal lover…. 😁 You’re welcome. Wanted to shout out your blog. Your writing is really quite beautiful. Awesome, three languages plus working on another. That’s incredible and I’m quite jealous. Lasagna a good choice! Nice to see some of your answers. Thanks for joining in. Appreciate it. Stay well!

I don’t know it may happen or not — I promise to take you to Disneyland one day. It’s my dream to turn my blog in something like Disneyland (The Gondwanaland). It takes time but I want to do it, for us.😃

Thank you for nominating me. I appreciate it.

  21. a.s. says:

Congrats on the award!! Interesting way to define freedom. Out of curiosity, why do you dislike driving?

    • Thanks a lot. Mmm. That question makes me thing. First, I guess I find it mostly boring, all the stopping and starting. And then also, I did have this car that would randomly shut off for no reason. I think something was wrong with the computer system. It would break down ever few months. And one time I was driving and in the middle of a turn it stopped working and I almost crashed into a wall. And another time I got stuck on a hill and it shut down. I think it made me dislike driving from there on out. So I guess those two reasons. I don’t actually dislike driving, but I guess I dislike what might happen from driving. Just as I’m not afraid of heights and I’m just afraid of the fall, or what happens when the fall ends. Thanks for making me think deeper on this. Have a great weekend!

      • a.s. says:

Wow, you’ve sure had a lot of crazy encounters while driving! I would dislike driving as well if I went through those things haha. But those deep thoughts are interesting as well! Hope your weekend went great as well!

      • Haha, indeed! Thanks a lot! Hope you have a wonderful start to your week! Happy Monday to you!

      • a.s. says:

        You too!

  22. well done. this is a significant feat in itself. keep growing.
