Wow Ben, this is so very powerful! 💜
Thank you 🙂
Sadly at times this happens.
Sadly. But then you can find a truer love next and they make it all better without even trying.
Great it is. Enjoyed the read. Thank you for sharing Benjamin 🙂
oohhhh… ouch
This poem is so powerful and well-crafted. Like a butterfly, it’s sweet, but short.
It’s a tough reality, how some relationships are. You wish they’d last, that they were always beautiful, but not all of them are.
But sometimes we just have to remember to spread our wings and fly, nonetheless! 🦋
Hope everything will be okay. Have a fantastic day 🙂
Yeah, exactly. Spread our wings and fly far, far away from the wrong people. We’re all better with the right people next to us.
Very true! Finding those people can be tough, but it’s definitely worth it 🙂
Worth it! And you could find them anywhere. Or they’ll find you.
LOL. Perfectly crafted.
Thanks so much!
This is a good one Ben!
Thank you!!! Glad you thought so 🙂
All your creations are great 😊
Thanks again. Made me over-smile with that one. 🙂
My pleasure reading your posts! 😊
Ouch! Reading a poem like this written in second person perspective feels like having a fist smacking down on one’s own butterfly. 💔 But they say love never dies. And I believe that. True love is fluid, and it’s not limited.
Maybe the narrator’s object thought the narrator’s love had left them first, and instead of dying there, flew elsewhere?… you’ve got me thinking again, Ben, that’s for sure!
Well done on the heart-renting poems, as usual! You have a true ability to make people feel deeply. And I massively missed your poetry! So glad you are sharing some again. Please write on. 🤩🙏🌷✍️
Yeah. Those are good thoughts. The love here, if it was ever love, sure flew away. As you get older you realize some things are infatuations and brief obsessions or just friendships.
True love, real love, doesn’t die no matter what. It’s exactly as you say: “fluid and not limited” by anything, really.
When you find that in another person. You know, I know, we all know it’s meant to be.
Thanks for all the support!
Ah. Well I’m sorry to hear that. But I hear you. :)) I’ve felt like that many a time. Good luck with everything, and you’re welcome, it’s a pleasure, and likewise. :))
Awesome 👏 I love drama! Well done 👍🏻
Thanks! Drama is exciting. But in little doses.
Sorry well have to disagree on that. Unless you’re writing about personal matters. Poetry needs drama. I wouldn’t call drama exciting but endearing and moving. All great poets a fair dose drama. Thanks 😊
Sorry for the typos. Well=we’ll and All great poets use a fair dose of drama ☺️
You’re right. Poetry, writing, it needs drama! I agree with all you said there. Life, on the other hand, best to avoid it as much as possible. At least for me personally.
Drama is part of life. But too much of anything is too much really 😁
Yes, middle-path, moderation, whatever you want to call it. That’s the best place to be.
Ouch
Love hurts sometimes.
Wow! Well done. That’s certainly true sometimes.
Thanks!
This is painful💔
It is. It was. But time heals most wounds, except for the ones you’re okay keeping with you, the ones you’d rather never forget. Sometimes it’s good to remember so you don’t make the same mistakes.
Woah, so poignant
Thanks. I appreciate that.
Cheers 🍻
it got me laughing hahaha, but yeah so witty there. love it
Oooo! I like this one
😮👌
THANKS, Sirishty Devi!!!
