Took off your makeup
Now I know why you wear it
Too much natural beauty
Not fair to other ladies

Dear Benjamin, I feel like I’m seeing things. Came back to see if you replied, my earlier comment is gone or never was posted? Very strange. Anyway… very sweet poem. Love the message that natural is beautiful. As always you give it a very romantic twist as well. I like how Uzzawal put it, smooth af. But the feeling of sincerity rings through your work as usual. You are very loving and loyal to your muse, which makes your poetry a pleasure to read.

Thanks again. “Sincerity”: it’s a good word. “Loving and loyal”: these are good words also. My muse 🙂 well how could I ever say enough great things about her. She’s a bit of everything good in the world.

All those things personify you, at least from what I can tell… and your words stir up great feelings in the reader. It probably doesn’t make sense that I can be this happy for someone I don’t know, but I that’s the true effect your words have. She’s a lucky lady. :))

I’ll take that compliment. It’s extremely nice of you to say. I’d be more lucky, though. Thanks as always.

Such an excellent piece Ben. In its brevity you have said so much and taken the reader on an emotional journey. Love it! The sentiment is also very sweet and affirming.

Oh this is cheesy. Flirty lines.

    • Benjamin Grossman's avatar bejamin4 says:

Haha. I’m actually deathly allergic to cheese (and many other things), so I avoid it at all costs. But nothing wrong with flirting. However, there really is only one person in the world I’d want to flirt with. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Always much appreciated.

Somstimes, coming face to face with the real beauty in someone is enough to shatter the everything.
I have a massive underground lake full of tears right now, looking for that kind of breakage, desperate for the fountains that will follow.
Sometimes (ironically enough in a world selling so many fixes) only that kind if breakage will do.
