Three Facts About Me

1. I prefer a rainy day to sunshine.

2. I usually never stop singing, and I don’t even have a very good voice. I might be louder when I’m by myself than when I’m in a crowd. And yet I’m actually a very quiet person.

3. I’m allergic to 6 of the 8 most common allergies: milk, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans.

My Best Post:

I haven’t a clue. The next one, I hope. However, I like one of these for now: Others; Long-Distance Relationships.

Questions:

What’s the best day of your life so far?

A day I didn’t realize was the best day of my life until it was over: the day I met the soul of my soul, the love of my love, my twin flame connection. Or perhaps the day she was born, but I didn’t know her then, or known that I would ever meet her, so I couldn’t have known that until now that that would be the best day.

What’s the most important thing Covid-19 taught you?

Don’t waste one second of the time you have with the ones you love.

If you had to spend one day as an inanimate object, what would you choose and why?

Her hairbrush, of course. Then I get to be in her hands everyday and run my bristles through her hair. I could be lipstick, too. Then I could be on her lips all day and look good as a bonus. But I would have to be the very best shade. Maybe a red. A color that never goes out of style.

Have you ever almost died? If so, share your story!

Yes, I probably should be dead. Starting in fall of 2016 and for about 3 years after that I couldn’t really eat food, due to an esophagus issue and a bad reaction to acid reflux medication. I dropped lots of weight and went down to 109 pounds even at one time. I mainly lived off of sunflower butter (which I had to put on everything and eat in spoonfuls), candy, and potato chips just to try and keep my weight from going down any lower. At times I wasn’t even able to sip more than a few sips of water a day. Not really sure how I managed to live through that, and I don’t recommend this diet to anybody. It was terrible. If you ever suffer from reflux just try some ginger first. Natural cures work!

Do you believe aliens exist?

It’s possible that they don’t exist?

Thanks so much, Radhika. It was serious. I can’t remember those three years of my life, really. It just feels like sleep. I’m much better now. Ginger and love is a lifesaver.

    I enjoyed reading the answers…

  9. I always love posts like this because I get to learn more about bloggers from all over the world. I love rainy days too! It’s currently bright and shiny here where I live, and to be honest I’d much prefer if there was more gloom and rain. Thanks for sharing!

  10. Lia says:

It’s absolutely pouring here right now so you would love it. Beautiful near-October weather, quite windy and wild. Anyhow, you’re lucky I’m unusually tapping into my phone right now or this comment would end up way too long as usual. What a fun and awesome award post. The romantic part is so utterly romantic. Red lipstick eh? Is that what sleeping beauty was wearing I wonder. :)) About the sick part, here’s where I want to go long but in short, I’ve been deathly ill only once, but it was only for a month or so. Just enough time for the Universe to give me a glimpse of the true awful, helpless feeling it gives. Thank gods you lived. Your poetry is healing and beautiful for others to read. Including me. So, sincerely thanking thee, BG. That Kakilimba blog btw!!!! OMG. So relaxing. Such a trip. So focussed. Love. Thanks for sharing that. I will try to find it in the reader. And your questions are so awesome too. Kudos 😚😚🙏

Pouring sounds nice if you have to stay in. But it’s not the kind of rain I like walking in. Just a light drizzle with an umbrella. I hope you’re enjoying the weather there, though. Sounds pretty good besides the wild wind. Oh, to see the “true awful” sounds terrible. But I know exactly what you mean. And thanks for the compliments. “Healing words”: it sounds quite lovely. Agreed: the Kalimba is fantastic; very soothing. A good blog to have in your feed. Maybe even pick up an instrument and learn a bit. Have a great day! Thanks again for all you said! I very much appreciate your support.

      • Lia says:

Ah ok. Well to each their own, for wind and rain. And sun. I do love the sun also. :)) Yes it is cool if you’re learning the kalimba. I like that idea. You’re welcome, and have a lovely day. :))

  11. Congratulations, Ben! Very well deserved award. I really enjoyed reading your answers. Sorry to hear about your health issue. So glad that you’re okay now! ✨

  12. dancjulian says:

Congrats. Love your answer to the aliens question. Personally, I’m not too keen on believing that there are any visiting us, but the fact that there’s life on other planets seems to me just that – a fact. Appreciate your positivity too… why is it that it’s the ones who have been through the wringer who come out knowing how to keep it all upbeat even in the worst of times? 🙂 peace – D

    • bejamin4 says:

Thanks a lot. Yeah, it seems very much a fact. Things can be real and exist even if we are uncertain of them existing and being real. Life should be a + 80% of the time. But the 20% negative helps balance you out to enjoying the sunlight even more. And it helps having the right people in your life; in the end we’re all social beings. Thanks for commenting.

  13. Katy Claire says:

Congratulations! Always interesting to learn more about fellow writers on here. I will remember that about ginger and reflux. As a singer that is very good to know. Keep singing and taking care of your voice! Thank you for always sharing your heart with us ☺️

    • bejamin4 says:

Thanks for your sweet words, Katy. Yes, reflux can effect singers greatly: you’re right. My voice wouldn’t be too much of a loss to the world, though. But yours is incredible, you know; I wish I could sing like you. Stay safe!
