Powerful, sorrowful, and catchy, all at once. You did those few words justice!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
So creative and unique. LOVE it!π
Thanks, Grace! Appreciate you reading and taking the time to comment!
Always my pleasure, Benjamin.π
You convey so much in just a few words Ben. This reflects a sense of sadness.
Thanks so much, Radhika. Through sadness we sometimes find creativity.
Awww….cuts right to the heart.
Missing someone can surely give a person a condition of the heart. And maybe there is no place that can be cut deeper. Thanks for commenting, V.J.! Have a lovely Saturday!
It’s so true. Almost like withdrawal from an addiction. Hope you can enjoy your weekend.
Few words but so awesome! β₯
Heartfelt thanks, Sonali!!!
Brilliant!!! πππ€π€
Thanks for you words!!! π π€
Welcome as always π€
Look here Benjamin, show that wretched girl my comment. She should be back in a hurry, because she may not find another man like you, so kind, compassionate and clever, as there isn’t many men like you around.
Joanna.
Jonna, I really appreciate your words and that you’re in my corner supporting me. However, I should say that this poem isn’t really about any one person in particular and it’s more all inclusive in the sense of missing someone. And I do think that sometimes relationships end and we realize we really love those people more than we even thought possible and we will take them with us for the rest of our lives. Real love is hard to move on from. Thanks for reading.
Benjamin, another lovely, succinct verse. Your talent continues to amaze me! π
Thanks a lot, Lisa! That’s very kind of you to say. Means so much π
Wow Ben, this is so powerful and leaped right into my heart. In my eyes, youβre very successful for vulnerably writing about deep emotion in such a beautiful and graceful way. I really love this piece and the simplicity of it, so well done!!! And as your friend, keep taking care of your loving heart and keep being incredibly YOU π€π€π€π«
Thank you, Ace! I appreciate all your generosity and support. I can’t tell you how much it means in truth, but it sure means more than a lot. I appreciate minimalism whenever possible, so it’s cool you said “simplicity”. Thanks so much again!!! π€ π π€
Awww youβre more than welcome, Ben!! Always supporting you, my lovely friend! π€π€
Ben, this little “unsuccessful” poem says so much in such few words..Conveys in such a powerful way, your struggles to let her go….In the end it’s not just about poetry…it’s about your heart, your life.. β«beautiful, touching and so relatable too…π€π€π€
Haha, yes, it was somewhat unsuccessfully successful and the other way around. I like what you touched on. Perhaps no poem is ever just about a poem, because they come from deep emotions that we felt one time or another. I really like you’re thinking on this. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. They are always fascinating!
Thank you Ben for sharing your many times, thought-provoking poetry.
Welcome. Seriously: thanks again, Karima! And have a great night!
Simple but says everything! Beautiful! π
Thanks, Simmi! π
You are most welcome! π
π
π Green is my favorite color too! πππ
Yay!!!ππ
Heartbreakingly beautiful
Thank you, sweet STW. π
A very powerful poem and such economy.
It does take time. You think you are over the worst and then … π
Thanks!!! Yes, some times it can take time and more time. And sometimes you just never get over it and you it changes you forever. But change is what we always must accept, one way or another. π Appreciate you! Have a wonderful Sunday!
what a nice first poem that’s not about someone. well written, Ben!
Yes, it was almost successfully done (haha). Thanks a lot!
But an excellent poetic form that expresses your what you don’t say so well β€
Thanks, Sunra!!!!
Gosh, I can’t seem to type correct sentences today! I meant to write: But an excellent poetic form that expresses your message, and what you don’t say, so well π Positive energy to you, Ben!
Thanks again! It’s idea that works better than the words, I think. Funny how writing can work like this. Thanks so much! Sending you all plus signs, as well!
Excellent expression right here!
Thanks very much, Rahul!
Very succinctly and movingly expressed!
I thank you again! Means so much having you read and comment!

It’s nice to share this relatedness, I think.
I love the honesty and rawness. Thank you

You’re welcome
π
Such simple words, yet they rip out the floor from underneath me.
I guess that’s what art is.
That’s cool to hear! Thanks for letting me know your thoughts. It really is an honor! π
Reblogged this on With The Dying Daisy and commented:
Always look forward to your poetry.
THANKS SO MUCH!!! I wish I could thank you more. Always a pleasure reading your work as well!
Hahaha! It’s my pleasure! β¨
Thanks again π
I’m unable to write any comment. Can you please tell me whom you refer to as βyouβ?
There is no set person. It’s whoever you want it to be. It’s supposed to be open ended, so anyone can relate to it.
Poets have big hearts. So, yeah they can include too many people in their poetry. β€
That’s so true! Poets have wide and deep hearts. Thanks for reading this! π
