Oceans Aren’t Wet (Song + Lyrics)

[Verse 1]
Every time I see your face
Makes me wanna touch your waist
Even if it’s just a taste
It don’t go to waste

You’re like the juice of grapes
’cept I can drink away
And always feel okay
By the end of the day

Never thought it’d get this way
But it’s getting harder, babe
To live without you, yeah
For another day

[Chorus]
I hope you know how I feel
When you unpeel
All that covers up
Your sex appeal

I hope you know how you’ll feel
When I get near
All that hides beneath
That attire you wear

[Verse 2]
They say oceans are wet
But that’s not really fair
Being next to you
I know nothing compares

And once I go down
I never come up for air
I’d rather drown by your side
Than leave you unsatisfied

[Chorus x2]
I hope you know how I feel
When you unpeel
All that covers up
Your sex appeal

I hope you know how you’ll feel
When I get near
All that hides beneath
That attire you wear

  3. Secret Bree says:

Oooooo, sizzling Ben. How long does it take you to write your songs?

    • Thanks a lot, Bree! The amount of time always depends, but if it’s going well, about twenty minutes for the most basics and lyrics. Then a few hours for the rough demo and lyrical changes. But it could be a long time if I added more and more, like backing vocals, lots of instruments, different chord changes, etc, etc. But I mostly just am doing minimal stuff, so it’s like half day of work for this. But I worked on it like 3 or 4 times over a month.

  4. Great lyrics; playful, inventive and sexy, Benjamin!

  5. Grace says:
