Husband & Wife (ft. lyrics by Grace)
*This song is part of a collaboration with Grace (who showed me these incredible lyrics). It was really fun working on this project with her, which was a month in the making; and I’m lucky to call her a friend.
[Verse 1]
Don’t really want to think about you
As much as I already do
Don’t really want to like you
Told myself all the reasons not to
[Pre-Chorus]
My mom already knew the day we first met
My best friend already placed a bet
[Chorus]
But if I can’t open up to you
I won’t need someone new
And if you can’t be on my team
My love will be your only dream
I could settle for me all my life
Could be my own husband and wife
I could settle for me all my life
Could be my own husband and wife
[Verse 2]
When I texted you, I expected nothing
Little did I know, I’d feel everything
When I saw you, I denied it all
Told myself I could never fall, told myself I could never fall
[Pre-Chorus]
I felt like lightning the first day we met
And somewhere in my heart I was excited to bet
[Chorus]
But if I can’t open up to you
I won’t need someone new
And if you can’t be on my team
My love will be your only dream
I could settle for me all my life
Could be my own husband and wife
So, if I can’t open up to you
I’ll be my own someone new
And if you can’t be on my team
I’m meant to be my own dream
I could settle for me all my life
Could be my own husband and wife
I could settle for me all my life
Could be my own husband and wife

Yellow Butterfly (ft. Bree Leto) Song + Lyrics (by Cassa Bassa)
*This song is part of collaboration with Cassa Bassa (who created the melody and lyrics). And huge thanks to Bree Leto for making this song so much better with her amazing voice and creative eye. Honestly, you saved this project.
[Chorus]
I can fly
I can hide
I can never say goodbye
[Verse]
You’re my life
You’re my soul
You’re my everything is true
You’re my sky
You’re my tide
You’re my everything alive
[Bridge]
But I’d never ever let you go
That’s true, oh whoa
I can’t breathe without you
I’ll never be fulfilled
[Chorus]
I can fly
I can hide
I can never say goodbye
[Ad lib]
Inaccurate Authorship
We perfected closeness
Dissolved the distance between souls
Thusly: Our love is likely to be plagiarized

Deep Water (Lyrics + Song)
[Intro]
You taught me how to swim, how to swim, how to swim
And now I’m always in, always in, always in
[Verse 1]
I used to hang out by the shallow side
Nothing could pull me toward the tide
The moon was nothing but a hanging ball
And in your eyes I saw the biggest stars
I always love it when your hair is black
I never thought we could go back
The water’s deeper when your by the tide
I guessed I got out of the shallow side
You always like it when I’m down below
I should have learned to swim as a child
I never thought I’d be a Marco
Sailing the seas to wash up on the shore
Eric the Red would probably turn green
If he held is breath as long as you make me…
I’d have to be a Zeus or Hercules
To do the things you always ask of me
[Chorus]
I’m in deep water when between your thighs, yeah (4x)
[Verse 2]
You want my lips when I come up for air
You don’t do much but play with my hair
You sound like you’re the one drowning, girl
But I’m the one inhaling liquids here
[Chorus]
I’m in deep water when between your thighs, yeah (4x)
[Bridge)
I didn’t know the water was this deep
Had I know I would’ve just, um, dipped my feet
At least the temperature is never cold
You’re the only one I wanna to know
[Chorus]
I’m in deep water when between your thighs, yeah (4x)
[Outro]
You taught me how to swim, how to swim, how to swim
And now I’m always in, always in, always in (2x)
Deep water (3x)
With somebody
With somebody
With somebody
With somebody
That’s not you
Remember This (Lyrics + Song)
For You
[Verse 1]
I knew I loved you
Before I even met you
That’s a song for some
But for us … it’s truth
The world’s so quiet
When I am with you
And I see angels blushing
When I hold you
You’re beyond a goddess
I swear that’s true
And if you need me
I will always come through
[Chorus 1]
Remember this
Remember this
Remember this
When you’re feeling it
Remember this
Remember this
Remember this
When you’re feeling sick
[Verse 2]
There’s not a moment
When I don’t miss you
Sometimes we kiss so long
Our faces turn blue
I hope our kids
Understand what we went through
And recognize that
I’ve always loved you
[Chorus 2]
Remember this
Remember this
Remember this
When you’re feeling pissed
Remember this
Remember this
Remember this
When I’m not there to sing it
[Verse 3]
I tried to write a song
Not about you
But you’re so wonderful
I can’t stop talkin’ ‘bout you
Everyone is probably
Sick of me and you
But they’re in trouble
’cause I haven’t even gone through
Still got four hundred
More melodies about you
And after that I’ll find another way
To show I love you (2x)
[Chorus 3]
So:
Remember this
Remember this
Remember this
When you’re feeling it
Remember this
Remember this
Remember this
When you’re feeling sick
Remember this
Remember this
Remember this
When you’re feeling pissed
Remember this
Remember this
Remember this
When I’m not there to sing it

Sublimation
By Benjamin Grossman and Cassa Bassa
I lost the grip of my writing pen
the ink frozen in-between the flow
of words and broken nib.
As if making every stroke
on water
letters now convert to vapor
vanishing before forming any solid state.
I burn lavender incense up to the heavens
offering fragments of laden thoughts
denial sadness resentment
cast
down
like
Autumn rain.
I wish to be a fixed matter
an existence tightly packed together
but my particles keep spreading
in
different
directions
deaf
to
all
prayers.
I found no escape on the verge of my final break.
Perhaps if I hibernate long enough
Spring will come with the promising sun
I WILL GROW FROM THIS INEXCUSABLE PAIN.

It's always a pleasure to write with a poet as knowledgeable and talented as her, and I really enjoy this poem for what it stands for beyond the words.
Oceans Aren’t Wet (Song + Lyrics)
[Verse 1]
Every time I see your face
Makes me wanna touch your waist
Even if it’s just a taste
It doesn’t go to waste
You’re like the juice of grapes
’cept I can drink away
And always feel okay
By the end of the day
Never thought it’d get this way
But it’s getting harder, babe
To live without you, yeah
For another day
[Chorus]
I hope you know how I feel
When you unpeel
All that covers up
Your sex appeal
I hope you know how you’ll feel
When I get near
All that hides beneath
That attire you wear
[Verse 2]
They say oceans are wet
But that’s not really fair
Being next to you
I know nothing compares
And once I go down
I never come up for air
I’d rather drown by your side
Than leave you unsatisfied
[Chorus x2]
I hope you know how I feel
When you unpeel
All that covers up
Your sex appeal
I hope you know how you’ll feel
When I get near
All that hides beneath
That attire you wear
