I can’t translate you into a poem
Your radiance is dulled in words

The Last Poem
Every night I lie in bed
Thinking of my last poem
It still has no words
But I know it’s about you.
HER AIRNESS
on the days i breathe her in
i never want to breathe out
It’s Not Enough
If I’ve only told you
That you’re beautiful
A million times then
I haven’t told you nearly enough.
The Lesser of Two Evils
By Benjamin Grossman and Cassa Bassa
The glacial battle begins in our heads
Face pressed to the sun-pierced window pane
January snow in recession, the signs of regression
Half hidden like an iceberg in the arctic water
And where once a soft glow illuminated the surface
Only the placement of desolation remains
Reverberating silent screams
There is no one way of knowing cold
The stages are fluid and transient
Its meaning bitterly ambiguous
Yet in rare lucid moments, I see husks
An empty bed, scarred skin, chattered teeth
Spirit-numbed mind, missed meals, vacant smiles
There is no one way of knowing cold
Its symptoms appear to have no rhyme or reason
Although they move with wintry doom
From person to person increasing in aggression
Till you understand the meaning of icy
Which unbeknownst to us creeps in succession
There is no one way of knowing cold
Though maybe it’s always the same
Emotional and physical reaction
A state of feeling dangerously low
Struggling to survive between cold and colder
The very same polar opposites: Arctic and Antarctica

Heaven Lent
Every earthly thing
you (……….) eclipse
and even near stars
shine dark in comparison.
Words in the Snow
Warm Chills (Song Lyrics)
[Verse 1]
I get so cold
When you don’t leave on the light, babe
I get so cold
When you do not say good night, babe
You’re only right
Cause you can’t admit you’re wrong, babe
We only fight
Cause of sexual frustration
[Pre-Chorus]
Warm me up, warm me up
Warm me up right now
I’ll warm you up, I’ll warm you up
I’ll warm you up somehow
[Chorus]
Don’t need these cold chills
Every day that you are away
Don’t need these cold chills
But I felt them hard yesterday
I want some warm chills
Heat me, pour me in your rain
I want some warm chills
Lay me down and walk over me, babe
I need those warm chills
Right now and every single day
I need those warms chills
You’re the only one who gives them, babe
[Verse 2]
I get so cold
When you do not show your face, babe
I get so cold
When you tell me that you’re sleeping
I get so cold, I get so cold
When I’m alone, when I’m alone
[Pre-Chorus]
Warm me up, warm me up
Warm me up right now
I’ll warm you up, I’ll warm you up
I’ll warm you up somehow
[Chorus]
Don’t need these cold chills
Every day that you are away
Don’t need these cold chills
But I felt them hard yesterday
I want some warm chills
Heat me, pour me in your rain
I want some warm chills
Lay me down and walk over me, babe
I need those warm chills
Right now and every single day
I need those warms chills
You’re the only one who gives them, babe
[Ad Lib]
You’re the only one who gives them, babe
The only one who gives that way
The only one …
The only one that makes me stay
Bridges (A Semi-Visual Poem)
I would cross
Each one of these
Without fear
To reach you:
Tell me you’d
Do the same
Even if you were
Pregnant with fear.
A Silent Poem
